Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children was born in Woodland Hills, California in 1956. Her father was an elementary school teacher, and her mother as a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick was a talented singer and performer from a young age. Her passion was to perform shows using puppets to entertain her friends. The fairytale story of her rise to fame started when she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of six, which prompted being contacted by talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she'd like to work in show business. McCormick was hired to star in her debut major part in 1964, in the tv spot for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year she appeared in the company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon cast in her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the third of three head-to-head daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. This show lasted for five seasons. McCormick revealed her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity to Barry Williams during the five-year duration in the series. In 2008, she revealed in her book Heres the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice, that during the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to Barry Williams. We would've had a couple, she added. But the timing wasn't just right.
