Luciana Paluzzi

Actress Luciana Paluzzi was one of numerous sexy Italian brunettes who were destined for global fame following the success of Gina Lollobrigida. After appearing on both sides of the Atlantic during the 1950s, in movies like Three Coins in the Fountain, (1954), and Sea Fury, (1958) Luciana Paluzzi had a shot at American TV fame in the character of Simone Genet in the spy weekly Five Fingers in 1959. She met with the Bond producers in the year 1965 to consider the possibility of appearing as the main character Domino Derval for Thunderball. Terence Young, the director suggested that she be given Fiona Volpe the role as the villain.
